Chaiyenne Huisman of Spain was crowned the new Miss Asia Pacific International 2019 on Wednesday, October 9 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila. Her court includes: 1st runner-up Miss Dominican Republic, Eoanna Constanza; 2nd runner-up Miss Canada, Jessica Cianchino; 3rd runner-up Miss Brazil, Carolina Schuler; and 4th runner-up Miss Costa Rica, Fiorella Cortez Arbenz. Huisman's victory marks her country's first time in winning the pageant which began in 1965 as a regional pageant for Asia but changed its name to Miss Asia Pacific International in 2005 to accommodate countries outside Asia.
