How did you become interested in pageants?

I did a modeling job with a friend of mine and she explained to me all the great things she had accomplished as a titleholder. She convinced me start competing in pageants, and even helped me win my first title of “Miss Charleston USA.”

Give three adjectives that your friends would describe you.

Loyal. Determined. Charismatic.

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

A woman who works hard in order to better herself and others.

How do you measure success?

When you are getting paid for doing something you are truly passionate about.

How do you handle criticism?

Respect the fact that someone is giving me advice, and trust myself to know the difference between constructive and destructive criticism.

If you were to come back as an animal in the next life, what would you be and why?

I would have to guess I would come back as a giraffe. I have always been extremely tall in comparison to other people, so I assume I would come back as one of the tallest animals as well!

Name three pet peeves.

Lying. Ungratefulness. People who are disrespectful on purpose.

What will you never do?

Sky Dive! I am very scared of heights!

Got any favorite reality shows?

Scandal!

True or False: People who are attractive tend to be more successful.

True-Inner Beauty.

Do you have a problem saying "no"?

I do tend to over commit because I do not like to let people down, but I am extremely organized so it usually works out. In addition to this, I know the difference between right and wrong and would never say, “yes” to something that goes against my values.

Describe a romantic date.

At the beach, with great food and candles!

Your craziest or funniest tweet so far.

I have not tweeted anything really crazy or funny, I probably should try to do that more often!

Why do you want to be the next Miss USA?

I want to be Miss USA to continue to represent independent women, not only in the United States, but all around the world. I am a positive, strong, and conscientious woman that can continue the legacy established by other accomplished women. Being Miss USA would allow me to develop personal and  professional skills that would benefit me in my modeling career, and would be an opportunity for me to be a positive influence in the fashion industry.
