John Fernandez Raspado, a 37-year-old professional online marketing businessman from the Philippines, won the Mr. Gay World 2017 contest held in Maspalomas, Spain on May 10. He is the first man from his country to win the title. Raspado also won several awards: Mr. Popularity, Mr. Social Media, Best in Interview, Best in Formal Wear and Best in Swimwear. His court includes 1st runner-up Cándido Arteaga of Spain, 2nd runner-up Jamie Debliek of Belgium, 3rd runner-up Marco Tornese of Switzerland and 4th runner-up Alexander Steyn of South Africa.
